Zambia’s Investment Future Spotlighted in Atlanta: Busara Advisors Joins Global Dialogue

This morning, Busara Advisors’ VP of Business Development, Obi Onuchukwu, joined Ambassador Chibamba Kanyama and a panel of distinguished experts in Atlanta, GA to spotlight Zambia’s investment potential.

The conversation highlighted how Zambia is positioning itself as a hub for innovation and sustainable growth, with rapidly expanding opportunities in:

FinTech – strengthening financial inclusion and digital payment systems
AgriTech – boosting agricultural productivity and resilience
Copper and Cobalt – fueling global demand for critical minerals essential to clean energy and advanced manufacturing

These industries stand to benefit from the anticipated progress of the Lobito Corridor, a transformative transport and logistics initiative linking Zambia and the DRC to Angola’s coast. The corridor will not only reduce trade bottlenecks but also accelerate cross-border investment and regional integration.

Atlanta provided the right context for this discussion, reflecting both a strong African diaspora and the city’s emergence as a center for finance, technology, and global commerce.

At Busara Advisors, we are proud to be part of conversations that bridge U.S. investors with Africa’s rapidly evolving economies, and to highlight pathways for impactful and commercially viable partnerships. Many thanks to Global Atlanta for hosting the event, and fellow panelists Sandy Alexander and Neil Diamond (MBA).
